University of Hip Hop

You didn't know that you would actually be able to go to school and study one of your hobbies - did you? But check this site out. And what is it about? Well this is the short version:

The University of Hip-Hop [UHipHop] is a multidisciplinary school of the street arts, which uses hip-hop for youth education and leadership development, and creates service learning projects and community beautification projects to increase cultural awareness and tolerance for communities in Chicago and worldwide.

I certainly think that is totally awesome.

Hip Hop Congress :: National Organization

Here's a great blog with a somewhat different angle on Hip Hop. Their main goal is expressed like this:

Hip Hop Congress :: National Organization: "The Hip Hop Congress is a 501 (c) 3 Non Profit Corporation. The Hip Hop Congress mission is to use the culture of Hip Hop to inspire young people to get involved social action, civic service, and cultural creativity. Hip Hop Congress is the product of a merger of artists and students, music and community. It achieves this mission in a variety of ways."

I really like stuff like that. Use your talents for the good of everybody and get involved in the world around you.
